We’re thrilled to be back at the Freight and Salvage in Berkeley with our friends, Fools Creek.  Please join us on Wednesday, March 13 for a night of rootsy original songs including a few you probably haven’t heard before.  For the first time at the Freight, we’ll have our full roster with us—Mark Holzinger on lead guitar and Sam Bevan on bass, along with the usual suspects.

She has played at numerous jazz festivals and folk festivals, has toured internationally, and continues to perform locally with her band Wake the Dead.

The Acoustic Vortex is rapidly becoming the center (vortex?) of the Marin County acoustic music scene. Googie's is a funky upstairs performance space at The Living Room, a lower East Side bar. New York Magazine says it "makes for an endearingly ramshackle performance space, complete with musty curtains, scattered holiday lighting, and an ivory-white baby grand." Extreme casualness ensues. We've been there a couple of times and surprisingly, seen some great acoustic acts. There's another stage downstairs, there are huge sound-sucking curtains everywhere, and the bar's in the front where you can get a drink in relative quiet. Each act plays one set, passes the hat, and out they go. If we can make it there . . .
